Dynastar X3 Courchevel is a mountain triathlon in Courchevel for individuals comfortable switching disciplines as the race progresses uphill. It combines cycling, trail running, and ski mountaineering, deviating from the typical swim-bike-run structure. Participants can compete Solo or as a Trio team. The event targets strong amateurs and specialists, positioning it as an alpine endurance challenge rather than a conventional road triathlon.
The race begins at Le Carrey and concludes on the summit of La Saulire, the highest point in the Courchevel ski area. The cycling segment spans 13.9 km with 930 m of elevation gain. The trail running portion covers 6.3 km with approximately 180 m of elevation change. The ski mountaineering leg concludes the event over 4.8 km with an additional 950 m of ascent. This format provides a competitive challenge for top athletes while offering experienced amateurs a unique opportunity to transition from road to trail to snow during a single ascent.
