100km de la Somme & Marathon d'Amiens-Métropole
土 10月 3
The 100km de la Somme & Marathon d'Amiens-Métropole centers on a 100 km road ultra in Amiens, offering marathon and half marathon distances for those seeking a shorter race. The main event has been a fixture in French long-distance running since 1979, initially as the 100 km du Val de Somme, later known as the 100 km d'Amiens. Its establishment aimed to promote road running in Picardy, making it France's second-oldest 100 km race, following Millau. The race began with 150 participants and 55 finishers, evolving into a significant ultra event that once attracted over 1,000 starters and more than 600 classified finishers. Its initial years were marked by speed, with the women's 100 km world record set there and course records frequently broken. The course was later rerouted to a 10 km circuit within Amiens for safety, a change that impacted participation, leading to a 17-year hiatus before its revival. French championships have been hosted multiple times, and the current event provides distances from 21 km to 100 km during the same Amiens race weekend.
100 Km de la Somme et Marathon d'Amiens Métropole
土 10月 10
The 100 Km de la Somme et Marathon d'Amiens Métropole is a road-running series held in Amiens, in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France, in early October. The program includes three distances: a 100 km ultramarathon, a marathon, and a half marathon. The half marathon is open to solo runners or three-person relay teams. The event began in 1979, and the 100 km race holds a strong reputation in France because of its distance, history, and position on the long-distance calendar. All three routes follow the Somme river, traveling between Amiens, the surrounding countryside, and Picardy villages. The marathon turns around at Bourdon, while the 100 km continues west to Pont-Rémy. Runners pass locations such as Picquigny, Breilly, Condé-Folie, and Longpré-les-Corps-Saints. The courses combine urban sections with greenways, paths, riverside stretches, and open natural areas, creating a sense of a long journey through the Somme valley rather than repeated laps.

100 km & marathon de la Somme - Amiens
日 10月 18
The 100 km & marathon de la Somme - Amiens is a race series held in Amiens, France, featuring a full marathon and a 100 km ultra. It is organized by L'Amicale du Val de Somme, a local running club affiliated with the French athletics federation. The event is part of a club culture, not a large commercial race. The organizing club welcomes runners of all levels, provides free or coached training, offers personal advice, and hosts local competitions like the Amiens marathon.
Ekiden de Noyon
火 11月 10
Ekiden de Noyon is a six-runner marathon relay held in Noyon, located in the Oise department of northern France. Teams complete the full 42.195 km marathon distance on the road, with each runner covering one leg instead of individuals running the entire marathon. It is associated with the November holiday period and is organized by AAC Noyonnais. The format is the primary attraction: it transforms a marathon into a team endeavor, making pacing, handovers, and collective spirit as important as individual speed. The event is open to all participants, features children’s races starting in the morning, and awards prizes across the various races. The organizers characterize the ekiden as a competition that fosters group cohesion, which aligns with its structure: club runners, workplace teams, friends, and families can all share a single marathon day without requiring six individuals to run a full marathon each.
Trail Fort et Vert
日 1月 31
Trail Fort et Vert is a winter trail race held in Mesnières-en-Bray, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, the home region of astronaut Thomas Pesquet. It typically takes place in late January or February, requiring participants to prepare for cold weather conditions. The Trail Fort et Vert club organizes the event, which features multiple race distances. These range from approximately 10 or 11 km for shorter trails to 42 km and 62 km for longer runs, with options for walking and Nordic walking. The 11 km trail includes about 270 meters of elevation gain, while the 34 km and 42 km routes offer 850 and 950 meters of climbing, respectively. These longer distances present significant hilly challenges. For those not running, an 11 km nature hike or an 11 km Nordic walk are available, both without specified climbing. The event has a playful local identity, known by the nickname “Fort et Vert comme Hulk!”, and is approaching its 10th edition.
Le trail fort et vert - Mesnières-en-Bray
月 2月 1
Le Trail Fort et Vert is an early-season trail event held in Mesnières-en-Bray, Seine-Maritime, organized by the Association Sportive de Mesnières. This FFA-sanctioned race day offers five running distances: 12 km, 22 km, 32 km, 42 km, and 62 km. The program also includes a 10 km Nordic walk and a hiking option, attracting a broader field than just trail runners. The timed races saw 1,716 starters and 1,698 finishers, with approximately 2,300 competitors participating across all formats. The chateau serves as the event's most distinct local landmark: runners begin with it behind them and finish facing it. The final section of the course returns to Mesnières via a last path, leading to a final kilometre to the finish line; the 62 km race and the last 1,500 metres of the other courses share the same finish area. The 62 km is a new addition to Trail Fort et Vert, with its inaugural winner finishing in just under five hours, while the fastest 12 km runner completed the course in a little over 51 minutes. Club runners are present throughout the results, alongside unattached runners, Nordic walkers, and hikers.
Semi-marathon de la coulée verte - Salouël
月 3月 8
The Semi-marathon de la Coulée Verte is a 21.1 km race in Salouël, Somme, northern France, starting at 10:00 from Rue Jean Jaurès. It is a straightforward half marathon with approximately 70 meters of elevation gain, presenting a gentle profile rather than a mountainous one. The event also features the Semi-relais ENDRIX, a two-person relay for teams wishing to divide the distance. Esprit Run organizes the race, now in its 16th edition. The FFA label is significant as the half marathon serves as a qualifier for the French championships, attracting runners aiming for an official standard, alongside local participants and relay teams. The race's core offering is a measured half marathon in Salouël, with official rankings provided by Courses80, and a relay option complementing the individual race.
L'Ultra Selle Pied
日 3月 28
Ultra Selle Pied takes place in March in Conty, located in the Somme department of Hauts-de-France. The event is described as the Somme's first ultra-walk, offering routes from a 6 km family walk up to a 50 km challenge. While it carries the ultra name, it caters to various fitness levels with 12 km, 22 km, and 42 km options. Participants can choose between walking, Nordic walking, gravel, trail, running, and canicross. The routes traverse the countryside surrounding Conty, including natural areas, public parks, and forests. Conty Selle Pied, the local walking association, organized the event to showcase the Somme region and ensure it is welcoming to individuals and families. Aid stations are available, participants are requested to bring an eco-cup, and the event incorporates ecological practices. A timing chip is provided for a competitive element, and all finishers receive a commemorative gift.

Ultra Selle Pied - Conty
月 3月 29
The Ultra Selle Pied begins in Conty, Somme, billed by the local walking association Conty Selle Pied as the department's first ultra-walk. This March event is for solo walkers and families, offering five route choices instead of a single fixed distance. A timed bib system adds a competitive element, but the format remains more of a mass walking challenge than a runner-only ultra. The routes all commence in Conty. The Family Walk covers 6 km with over 100 m of elevation gain, while the 11 km and 21 km routes each remain under 100 m of gain. Aid stations are available on the course, participants are asked to bring an eco-cup, and all finishers will receive a souvenir gift. The organizers previously hosted Rando'Truch, a unique hike centered on a fondness for potatoes, indicating that the Ultra Selle Pied maintains a deliberately playful local character despite the timed bibs.
Semi-marathon des 4 communes - Cauvigny
水 4月 21
The Semi-marathon des 4 communes takes place in Cauvigny, located in France's Oise department, with several morning races scheduled for April. The event offers more than just a half marathon; participants can select from 5 km, 10 km, a 20 km trail run, or the 21 km semi-marathon. Additionally, there is a 10 km walking route available. The 20 km trail run features the most elevation gain among the listed races, totaling 320 meters. This event connects four organizing communes: Cauvigny, Ully-Saint-Georges, La Chapelle, and Novillers. It also includes a 1.4 km children's race open to children residing outside these four communes. Entry fees are reasonable, ranging from 6 EUR for the children's race to 16 EUR for the trail run and the half marathon.
