Wolverhampton Half Marathon & 10K 2026

The Wolverhampton Half Marathon & 10K begins and ends in the city centre on North Street. Both races start in the morning, with roads reopening later. The half marathon covers the standard 21.097 km, and the 10K is 10 km. Both are chip-timed road races, licensed by the UKA, with accurate measurements, mile markers, and water stations. The Wolverhampton race series has also featured a marathon and a children's run; the marathon component began in 1998. The route incorporates closed roads, open roads, paths, cycleways, and controlled sections, differing from a simple park lap or a completely closed city circuit. Runners receive a central race base, secure bag drop, complimentary photo downloads, a custom medal, and a T-shirt. Prize giving is integrated into the race-day schedule. The event consistently supports local causes, attracting a diverse range of participants beyond just club runners; one past edition saw approximately 2,300 participants overall. The full marathon has been omitted in years with insufficient entries, establishing the half marathon and 10K as the dependable core of the current event.
