The Thänhuser Schloss Erbhof-Lauf begins and ends at Kirchwiehe, directly across from Schloss Erbhof in Thedinghausen, Lower Saxony. Organized by TSV Thedinghausen, this October road-race event offers 10 km and 5 km races, alongside an 800 m children’s run. Established in 2016, the event caters to children, youth runners, active adults, and masters. The primary course is a measured, flat 5 km loop, completed once by 5 km participants and twice by 10 km runners. The 5 km route is also suitable for nordic walking, welcoming those not focused on race times. The children’s 800 m “Löwenlauf” takes place in the Baumpark adjacent to Schloss Erbhof, providing a short race for the youngest participants near the main start and finish landmark.

Silvesterlauf Stuhr-Fahrenhorst is a New Year's Eve cross-country race held in Fahrenhorst, a village within the municipality of Stuhr in Lower Saxony. LC Hansa Stuhr organizes it as part of its club calendar; the event has taken place annually since 1977. Participants can select from routes of 4.5 km, 9.5 km, and 13.5 km, accommodating both those seeking a brief year-end run and individuals aiming for a more challenging effort before evening festivities. The routes traverse fields and forest surrounding Fahrenhorst, featuring a gently undulating profile distinct from a flat road race. The course is suitable for spikes, indicating typical winter cross-country conditions rather than a simple road run with a holiday theme. Results, certificates, start lists, and photographs are made available post-race, maintaining a club-event feel while providing a record for participants.
