Assietta Legend 2026

Assietta Legend is a high-altitude off-road cycling series held in Sestriere, a mountain resort in Piedmont known as Italy's highest town. The main event is a Gran Fondo for mountain bikes, offering a medium route of 26 km with 819 m of elevation gain and a long route of 63 km with 1,870 m of climbing. The event also features a gravel race, attracting riders of both MTB and gravel bikes. The course begins in the Sestriere area, with departures from Piazza Fraiteve in the town center and from Borgata Sestriere. After a brief, relatively flat opening, riders enter alpine terrain before descending along the Val Chisone. The gravel race is open to amateur FCI categories and riders from CONI-recognized bodies, excluding Elite, Under23, and Open Women categories. A Baby Cup is also held for younger participants, and all entrants receive a technical race T-shirt.
