Leesten Cross 2026

Leesten Cross is a small recreational forest run near Ugchelen in the Netherlands, organized by Atletiekvereniging Veluwe and affiliated with Atletiekunie. It is now held in November, having previously been a February event. Runners can choose from 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km distances, with a limit of 300 participants. The start and finish are located at Bospaviljoen 't Leesten, centering the race around the forest rather than a town. The routes traverse forest paths, sand, and heathland tracks, offering open views across the heath in certain sections. The 5 km and 15 km are designated as recreational routes, while the 10 km also serves as a club championship event for AV Veluwe members. Registration is exclusively online; late entries are not accepted. The practical arrangements are straightforward: parking and first aid are provided, but participants should not anticipate changing facilities.
