Orientuj się w Mielniku is a short night trail race held in Mielnik, Podlaskie. The start and finish are located by the viewing tower on Dębowa Street. The course covers approximately 7.3 to 7.5 km. The challenge lies not in the distance, but in the steep climbs and descents through forest ravines. Each runner must have a headlamp. The race is limited to 50 participants, with a minimum age of 16. Runners start individually at intervals, rather than in a group.
The route crosses a nature reserve along the "Głogi" educational path. Completion involves collecting stamps from six checkpoints, blending trail running with night orienteering. The Municipal Cultural, Sports, and Recreation Center in Mielnik organizes the event. All finishers get medals, and top runners can earn cash prizes and statuettes. The post-race amenities are practical and community-focused, including water, a snack or gift, a hot meal, and sausages for a bonfire.
