The HOKA Helsingborg Half Marathon begins and ends at Dunkers Kulturhus in central Helsingborg, Sweden, with the finish line situated by the sea on Strandpromenaden. This road half marathon features fast sections, varied surfaces, and sufficient elevation changes to distinguish it from a flat city run. The race takes place alongside the Helsingborg Marathon, which originated from a concept by two local runners seeking a long-distance course utilizing the city, coastline, and nearby green spaces.
The course navigates Helsingborg’s historic core, passes the medieval Kärnan tower, and proceeds through Pålsjö skog and Laröd before looping back toward the waterfront. Participants will encounter approximately 170 meters of elevation gain, including an initial ascent towards Kärnan around the 2 km mark, followed by a prolonged descent after 19 km on the return to the finish. Significant portions of the route are shared with the marathon course, designed to showcase Helsingborg's diverse landscapes. The event attracts both regular road runners and championship-level competitors, with options to contribute to Min Stora Dag during registration.
