Spartan Komárno directs obstacle racers through Komárno Fortress, a historic Slovak location that is part of Central Europe's largest fortress system. The fortress's oldest section dates to the 16th century, meaning the event utilizes a backdrop of actual military history instead of a typical sports venue. For adults, the main choices are the Spartan Super, covering 10 km with 25 obstacles, and the Spartan Sprint, a 5 km race featuring 20 obstacles. The course is level, making it accessible for newcomers yet allowing quicker participants to increase speed between obstacles.
The event caters to various skill levels and age categories, not exclusively seasoned obstacle-course competitors. Children from 4 to 14 years old can participate in Spartan Kids. Adults may select the shorter Sprint or the longer Super based on their desired distance and obstacle count. Spartan Charity is also included, backing a project with the Markíza Foundation. Entry can be purchased as a gift voucher and is transferable to another individual, facilitating shared participation with friends or family.
