Live Love Run 21K, 10K, 5K & 1K
Live Love Run begins and ends at Brae Island Regional Park in Fort Langley, Langley Township, British Columbia. The event takes place in October, offering 21K, 10K, 5K, 1K, and virtual race options. Participants can select distances ranging from a short family run to a half-marathon-length trail race. The in-person event has a limit of 300 participants and has previously sold out. The course utilizes the Fort-to-Fort Trail alongside the Fraser River, crossing the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Kwantlen First Nations. Stroller-friendly routes are available, providing accessibility for families. Aid stations and finisher medals are part of the standard race day setup. This marks the 14th annual running of the event, which supports breast cancer survivors and ABreast In A Boat, a dragon boat team associated with the cause.
VALLEY VERTIKILLER TRAIL RACE 2026
The Valley Vertikiller Trail Race offers three distances on Sumas Mountain in Abbotsford, British Columbia: 10 km, 20 km, and 30 km loop courses. All start from Taggart Road in October. Most of the running is on technical single-track, requiring trail skills and fitness even for the shortest option. The 30 km route is the most challenging, with nearly 1,500 m of climbing and a push to the peak of Sumas Mountain. The 20 km course retains much of the mountain's character with nearly 1,000 m of gain. The 10 km “Cuddler” still climbs 400 m and stays mostly on flowy forest trail. The longer courses go past Chadsey Lake, climb toward or to the Sumas Mountain summit, and use the Eastern Lookout as an aid station. The 30 km includes raging creeks, several viewpoints, and a technical descent after the main climb. Teams of five or more can enter the 30 km Team Challenge, where the fastest five times determine the team result; the winning team receives cash and a trophy spot. All distances feature stocked aid stations, catered finish-line food, custom racer swag, draw prizes, podium and cash awards for the top three, and rewards for new course records. FatDog 120 Race Management organizes the event, with proceeds supporting Central Fraser Valley Search and Rescue.
Granville Island Turkey Trot
The Granville Island Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Monday 10K race in Vancouver, beginning and ending on Granville Island. This community event has a 2,000-runner limit, with a Kids’ Run capped at 200 participants, and it typically sells out. The route departs Granville Island, circles the Burrard Bridge, heads to the Seawall, turns at Science World, and comes back along the water to Granville Island. Participants can give directly or fundraise for local Food Banks, reinforcing the Thanksgiving theme. The event calls itself “Vancouver’s last great run of the year.”
Seawall Classic
Second Beach in Stanley Park hosts the Seawall Classic, a fall 10K in Vancouver that guides runners along the park shoreline. The main race begins at 10:00 AM, employs chip timing, and takes place on a certified, measured course designed for those aiming for a personal best. It is part of the Running is Awesome Kamino Race Series, supported by Vancouver Is Awesome and Kamino Running Co. The route is straightforward: flat road running alongside the water, offering ocean views and a clear objective. Competitive runners can vie for podium prizes, while less experienced participants can complete a simple 10K with live results, on-course photos, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Families can participate via a free, bibbed 1K Kids Race, which is unchipped but includes a finisher medal for children.

The longer events start before sunrise, and the 10K follows in the morning. The marathon begins at Inter River Park, at the base of Lynn Creek, sending runners onto difficult North Shore trails described as gruesome and ghastly. Racers receive aid stations, a pre-race orientation run, and a finisher medal, plus costume awards. They must carry their own cup or bottle as the events are cup-less.

SCPC Vancouver Historic 5K, 10K & Half Marathon
The SCPC Vancouver Historic 5K, 10K & Half Marathon takes place on Stanley Park’s paved Seawall, a well-known Vancouver route encircling the park's perimeter. Participants can select a 5K, 10K, or half marathon, accommodating walkers, casual runners, and those seeking a longer timed competition. The event utilizes shoe-tag timing, a finish-line clock, and in-person results, with tags gathered post-finish. The course traces the Seawall along Stanley Park’s northern, western, and southern shores, offering clear vistas of downtown Vancouver, the North Shore mountains, and the Lions Gate Bridge. Stanley Park, Vancouver’s original park, spans 400 hectares, placing the race alongside forests of cedar, hemlock, and fir, as well as the coastline. The event maintains a practical local-race atmosphere, featuring a group warm-up led by The Morgan Method, no race-day registration, and a Yellow Bib option for participants entering after standard merchandise and medals are gone.

The route follows Stanley Park trails, primarily paved paths and seawall segments, with minimal hills and loops for the longer races. Runners depart from Lumberman's Arch, accessing the seawall near Coal Harbour and Burrard Inlet.
