Hot Flash 5K Walk/Run 2026

The Hot Flash 5K Walk/Run is a flat 5K in Cayce, South Carolina, on the Timmerman Trail along Congaree Creek. It begins in the morning from Fort Congaree Trail and attracts runners and walkers from across the Midlands, with a Kids Fun Run shortly after the 5K start. The route follows wooded trail sections and features chainsaw art carved into fallen trees by Wade Geddings. Finishers get custom medals, top overall male and female runners can win cash prizes, and the first masters finishers also receive awards. The event includes a costume contest, live music, fruit, energy bars, refreshments, and homemade baked goods, and it raises funds for local community projects like scholarships and support for City of Cayce employees.
