TOUR DE ZELEŇÁK 2026

Tour de Zeleňák is a public road cycling race based in Rumburk, with the start and finish on Lužické náměstí. It is considered the oldest public road cycling race in the Czech Republic and is usually run on the first Saturday of September. The standard route is 54 km, while Obr Zeleňák doubles that with two laps; the longer listing comes to about 106 km with 1,380 m of climbing. It is part of the North Bohemian Amateur League, placing it in the amateur racing calendar rather than as a closed professional event. The course loops through the Šluknov Hook, using local roads through towns and villages around the northern edge of the Czech Republic. Around 700 riders participate in a normal year, with some editions expecting more than 900, and the field includes children to older amateurs. The event also includes children’s races and a category for historical bicycles. Roads are managed with one-way closures, signs, and more than 200 police, firefighters, and volunteers controlling traffic. After the racing, riders can expect category prizes, team medals, a winner’s trophy for the top team, a small gift for each finisher, a meeting with past TdZ winners, awards, and a cultural program; Mikulášovice also hosts a fan zone with competitions and refreshments.
