3rd Annual LESS Society Table Rock Run

The LESS Society Table Rock Run is a 3.8-mile trail race in Boise, Idaho. It begins at the Table Rock Trailhead on East Old Penitentiary Road. This is the third annual event, a community run focused on health, perseverance, and purpose, featuring a moderate out-and-back climb instead of a flat road course. The race starts at 8:00 AM MDT and costs $30 to enter. The route is fully marked, with volunteers, aid stations, radio support, and an on-site certified medical responder. The course follows Table Rock Trail #15 from the trailhead to the summit above downtown Boise and the Treasure Valley, ascending approximately 900 feet before returning to the base. Aid stations are located at the trailhead, midpoint, and summit, offering water, electrolyte drinks, light snacks, and first aid. Healthcare professionals, families, and outdoor enthusiasts participate in the event. Proceeds benefit the LESS Society Idaho Scholarship Initiative, supporting Idaho students in healthcare, science, and community leadership. If trail conditions are unsafe, organizers may use the Old Penitentiary Loop Trail and Shoshone-Bannock Trail, and volunteers will conduct post-race cleanup and trail restoration.

Over the Hill Gravel Grinder

Unbound Gravel begins and ends in Emporia, Kansas, sending cyclists onto rural Flint Hills roads the first weekend after Memorial Day. It is a gravel cycling race series offering distances from 25 miles to the 350-mile XL, though the exact distances can vary slightly depending on the route selected for that year. The 200-mile race serves as the primary event, featuring elite prize money, while the shorter and junior races welcome amateurs, younger participants, and those who wish to experience the Flint Hills without committing to the full 200-mile distance. The course is redesigned annually and can extend north or south from Emporia, ensuring returning participants face a different challenge each time. Temperatures can exceed 100 F, storms may bring rain and hail, and damp dirt roads can become muddy. This necessitates that riders carry food, water, tools, and sufficient self-reliance to handle issues between aid stations. External assistance is permitted only at official aid stations, located approximately 50 miles apart in longer races, though riders are free to assist one another at any point. The event originated as a single 200-mile race named Dirty Kanza, with just 34 participants, organized by Joel Dyke and Jim Cummins, drawing inspiration from Trans-Iowa and the Flint Hills Death Ride; it now attracts thousands of professional and amateur competitors.

Bogus Basin Hill Climb

The Bogus Basin Hill Climb begins in Boise, taking cyclists to Bogus Basin, the mountain recreation area located approximately sixteen road miles north-northeast of the city in Boise County, Idaho. Riders ascend 4,314 feet over 18.5 miles, presenting a straightforward, challenging uphill road race rather than a varied cycling event. The race has been held annually since 1972, establishing it as the third oldest continuously operating hill climb in the United States. The course concludes at Bogus Basin, a ski area situated on Shafer Butte with a summit elevation of 7,582 feet. It holds a long-standing reputation as Boise’s primary local mountain destination. Over the past fifty years, thousands of Boise cyclists have participated in the climb, with participants ranging from local regular riders to Olympians and Tour de France competitors. George’s Cycles, a Boise bicycle shop operating since 1971, has sponsored the event for over five decades.

Om sykling og løping i Boise City

Boise Base Miles And Foothill Vert

Boise Area Runners, Tree City Track Club, Trail Fridays og Boise Long Run Club dekker uken.

Great Rides Boise, Lactic Acid Cycling, BYRDS Cycling, Crank Queens, Radical Adventure Riders - Boise og SWIMBA gjør at scenen føles travl uten å føles lukket. Over the Hill Gravel Grinder 2026 og 2026 Bogus Basin Hill Climb gir rytterne et ankerevent.
