O wyścigu
The Lautertal-Bikemarathon takes place each October in the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park, near Spiegelberg in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This mountain bike marathon uses forest and gravel paths, with three distance options based on a 27.5 km lap that gains approximately 735 meters. Participants can select 27.6 km, 55.2 km, or 82.8 km. The longest route involves 2,205 meters of climbing. An e-bike category is also offered on the 27.6 km route.
The course features challenging downhill sections and single trails that test both bike handling and endurance, beyond just gravel riding. Route signs, marshals, and barrier tape clearly mark junctions, with aid stations available on the course and at the finish. The Friends of the Spiegelberg Fire Department organize the event. Riders are requested to avoid using the MTB event trails outside of the event to help preserve the permit.
