Haumoana School hosts the fourth event in the Triathlon Hawkes Bay Winter Duathlon Series. This five-race series focuses on simplicity and utility. Beyond the standard duathlon, the event includes "solo runs", "cycling time trials", team options, and a "kids’ dash". The morning has a club-race atmosphere, with participants engaging in various activities. The event offers a practical winter competition, not an elaborate production.
