Sobre esta prova
Cross Sieradzki is a May running event in Sieradz, held in the Municipal Park named after Adam Mickiewicz. Instead of a fixed finish distance, runners use a 2 km loop and try to cover as many kilometres as they can during the race window, typically from late morning to late afternoon. Entry is free, timing is electronic, and each participant gets a returnable start number with a chip. The format makes it more like a timed distance challenge than a normal road race, as the main result is total distance rather than finishing time.
Runners may leave the course after completing a lap and return later to continue, so the day can work for people aiming for a hard long run as well as those who want a more relaxed effort. Anyone who reaches at least 10 km receives a commemorative medal, while the top ten women and top ten men receive awards and cups. The event is organized by Stowarzyszenie Klub Sportowy Sieradz Biega under the patronage of the Mayor of Sieradz. A past edition drew nearly 250 runners, with more men than women registered, and organizers described it as a race for everyone.
