O tomto preteku
Freycinet National Park provides this run with a wild, salt-air character, featuring Wineglass Bay, Hazards Beach, Mt Graham, and Cooks Beach depending on the chosen loop. The Freycinet Trail run is situated in “one of the most beautiful locations in the world.” The longer circuit targets experienced trail runners, while the shorter circuit is suitable for a first trail run.
Expect an “exceptional track interspersed with pristine beaches,” with rough sections and cairn markings on parts of the course. Both circuits proceed clockwise. Organizers note the temptation to stop for a swim or enjoy the scenery. The long loop requires compulsory gear: warm layers, water, food, a phone, head torch, space blanket, and bandage, indicating the nature of the terrain and weather conditions.
