31. Mátra Kör

Felsővárosi Iskola serves as the start for the 31st Mátra Kör, a traditional road race organized by GYÖTRI Klub for the 31st year. The Mátra region provides the challenge: a scenic landscape that demands strong legs, with the complete circuit presenting a difficult yet achievable task for well-prepared amateur cyclists. The route proceeds through Mátrafüred and ascends towards Mátraháza, beginning with a police-escorted, controlled slow start before the main effort. Even the shorter route involves a demanding climb, turning at Mátraháza in the direction of Kékestető and concluding shortly thereafter. Younger and older age categories compete in separate points races, with the longer route offering AKESZ and Olimpiai Ötpróba series points.
