Typhoonloop Gorinchem

The Typhoonloop begins and ends on the AV Typhoon track in Gorinchem, featuring races for children and adults on the same schedule. Atletiekvereniging Typhoon organizes the yearly race series, offering 400 m and 1.6 km youth races alongside 6 km and 10 km races for men and women. The event is limited to 850 participants, with practical amenities provided: changing rooms, showers, first aid, AEDs, and parking are available at the location. The youth races commence on the track, followed by the 6 km and 10 km runners who proceed through and around Gorinchem before returning to AV Typhoon. The event attracts local runners, visitors from further afield, club athletes, casual runners, and families; one edition saw almost 750 finishers aged 3 to 74. The series has surpassed its 35th edition, and the updated AV Typhoon track provides a fitting athletics-club environment for the start and finish.
