O tomto preteku
Piławska Skała takes runners into an amphibolite open-pit mine in Piława Górna, a Lower Silesian town, on a late-May running day featuring roughly 6 km and 12 km races alongside children’s runs. It is a small cross-style event with electronic timing, closed road traffic, and a combined limit of 300 adults for the two main distances, giving it the feel of a local challenge rather than a large city race.
The start, finish, and children’s races are located at the Municipal Stadium. The main routes traverse town streets, adjacent open ground, gravel sections, dirt roads, and industrial areas. The distinctive part is the mine: runners go down into the bottom of a rocky excavation, a rare course element connecting the race to Piława Górna’s industrial heritage. Amateur runners, club runners, and those seeking an uncommon off-road test are suited for this event, which offers age-group, open, and team classifications, medals for finishers, and prizes or statuettes for the fastest competitors.
