12. Taubertal 100 km

The Taubertal 100 begins in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and proceeds one-way through the Tauber region, with the finish locations varying by distance. This October event is an point-to-point ultramarathon, not a loop race, offering choices of 50 km, 70 km, 100 km, or 100 miles. A Biel-Taubertal Challenge is available for participants aiming for two 100 km races in a single season: one in Biel, Switzerland, and the other in Taubertal, Germany. The 50 km race concludes in Bad Mergentheim, the 70 km in Tauberbischofsheim, the 100 km in Wertheim, and the 100-mile race in Gemünden. The primary routes are measured by DLV standards and hold an IAU Bronze label. The 100-mile course is eligible for rankings and approved for world records. Nele Alder-Baerens has set multiple women's records across these distances, and Felix Werber's 12:35:00 for 100 miles is also a German record. All finishers receive medals, with a belt buckle awarded for the 100-mile distance. The organizers manage logistical aspects including checkpoints, finish areas, showers, awards, and return transportation.
