O tomto závodu
The Clyde Classic begins and ends at Clyde Primary School, located in the historic gold-mining town of Clyde, Central Otago, on New Zealand’s South Island. The primary event is a 21.1 km half marathon. Shorter options include a 10 km and a 5 km race suitable for runners and walkers, alongside a 3.5 km Clyde Classic Schools Cup designed for younger participants.
The course guides participants through Clyde’s historic town centre, across the Contact Energy Clyde Dam, and along the river tracks beside the Clutha River. This event prioritizes community participation over elite competition, welcoming walkers, local runners, school groups, and visitors to share the race day. As a cup-free event, participants are requested to bring their own cup or bottle to refill at aid stations provided along the route.
