Tradition bietet viel Schatten, und der Green River Drive von Jensen Beach Blvd bis Walton Rd hat einen gepflasterten Gehweg am Savannenpark entlang. Der Green River Parkway ist knapp 4 miles lang, von Walton Rd bis Jensen Beach Blvd, und Läufer können daraus einen 8 miles langen Hin- und Rückweg machen. Fleet Feet Port St. Lucie veranstaltet montags um 18:30 Uhr den Gruppenlauf. Der Crosstown Shamrock 5K, Freedom Run 5K at Tradition, Juneteenth 5K und Dreamin' of the Keys 5K füllen den lokalen Rennkalender.

Als Radfahrer bekommst du das beste Küstenfeeling östlich auf dem Highway A1A, wo es beidseitig eigene Radwege gibt. Die Strecke ist 4 miles lang und besteht hauptsächlich aus gravel und Dirt, mit etwas Asphalt. Treasure Coast Cycle Werks veranstaltet dienstags um 18:00 Uhr den Tuesday Night B Ride über 20 miles, donnerstags um 18:00 Uhr den Thursday Ice Cream Social Ride über 12 miles und sonntags um 7:30 Uhr den Sunday A/B ride vom Darwin Square aus über 50-75 miles. Port St. Lucie hat keine benannten Hügel, daher geht es hier nicht ums Klettern.

Der Winter bringt für beide Sportarten das Beste, mit milden bis warmen Tagen und durchschnittlichen Höchstwerten in den 70ern. Die Locals sammeln dann Z2, lange Läufe und längere Gruppenfahrten, weil das Wetter es zulässt, draußen zu bleiben, ohne dass sich jedes Training wie Intervalle anfühlt. Der Sommer bringt durchschnittliche Höchstwerte in den niedrigen 90ern, daher gehen Läufer und Radfahrer früh raus, haben ihre Flaschen immer dabei und respektieren die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit. 5 inches Niederschlag im Jahr, und der Sommer ändert eher den Rhythmus als die Strecken. Strandsand bei Fort Pierce oder Jensen Beach funktioniert immer noch, wenn du einen härteren Lauf willst, ohne Hügel suchen zu müssen.
