The initial 100 individuals who raise $500 become VIP Chimp Champs, aiming for a total of $50,000, which supports a year of care for two sanctuary residents.
Game On! Run Singer Island

Run Singer Island is a coastal Florida race series held at Ocean Walk on Singer Island. It features a half marathon, 10K, half marathon relay, and virtual options for the half marathon or 10K. The in-person half marathon and 10K begin and end at Ocean Walk. This event has sold out for the past six years. The half marathon and 10K follow an out-and-back course over the Blue Heron Bridge, passing MacArthur Beach Park and the Palm Beach Shores community. Participants will see Peanut Island and the Port of Palm Beach. All finishers get medals and shirts, with age-group awards presented in five-year increments up to 80+.

ここではみんなシンプルに走ってるよ。Tradition、Green River Drive、Green River Parkway、Crosstown、Jaycee parkあたりでベースマイルを稼ぐ感じだね。Traditionは日陰が多いし、Jensen Beach BlvdからWalton RdまでのGreen River Driveは、サバンナパーク沿いに舗装された歩道があるんだ。Green River ParkwayはWalton RdからJensen Beach Blvdまで4 miles弱で、往復すると8 milesになるよ。Fleet Feet Port St. Lucieが月曜の夜6:30 PMからグループランをやってるね。Crosstown Shamrock 5K、TraditionでのFreedom Run 5K、Juneteenth 5K、Dreamin' of the Keys 5Kとかが地元のレースカレンダーを賑わせてるよ。

サイクリストなら、東にHighway A1Aに行くと、専用の自転車レーンが両方向にあって、最高の海岸沿いのライドが楽しめるよ。そこには、ほとんどグラベルとダートで、一部アスファルトの4 milesのルートもあるんだ。Treasure Coast Cycle Werksは、火曜の夜6 PMから20 milesのTuesday Night B Ride、木曜の夜6 PMから12 milesのThursday Ice Cream Social Ride、日曜の朝7:30 AMからDarwin Square発で50-75 milesのA/Bライドをやってるね。ポートセントルーシーには名前の付いたヒルはないから、ヒルクライムはここではメインじゃないかな。

冬は両方のスポーツにとって最高だよ。穏やかで暖かい日が続いて、平均最高気温は70sくらい。みんなZ2、ロングラン、長めのグループライドを冬に詰め込むんだ。だって、インターバルみたいに感じずに外でずっといられる気候だからね。夏は平均最高気温が90s前半になるから、ランナーもサイクリストも早めに出て、ボトルを手放さず、湿度を甘く見ないようにしてるよ。年間降水量は5 inchesで、夏はルートよりもむしろトレーニングのリズムを変える感じだね。ヒルを探さずにきついランをしたいなら、Fort PierceやJensen Beachのビーチサンドも使えるよ。
