Merziger Schülertriathlon

The Merziger Schülertriathlon is a children’s and junior triathlon held in Merzig, Saarland. It features short XS races designed for young athletes and beginners. The event is organized by Tri-Sport Saar-Hochwald, with age groups ranging from Schüler D (six- and seven-year-olds) to Jugend B (fourteen- and fifteen-year-olds). The race distances increase with age. For Schüler D, the distances are 30 m swimming, 350 m cycling, and 200 m running. Older athletes in Schüler A and Jugend B categories compete in a 200 m swim, a 5 km bike ride, and a 1.5 km run. This marks the 34th edition of the event, which anticipates approximately 300 young participants across its five categories.
