La Via dei Berici is a two-day cycling event based at Parco della Pace in Vicenza, typically held in early October as the local end-of-season cycling occasion. Participants can select from five route choices, with formats covering gravel, mountain bike, e-MTB, road cycling, and bikepacking. It is designed for a wide range of participants, not just a specific group: children, adults, regular club riders, and individuals seeking a supported day on the bike are all included in the program.
The longer gravel route offers insight into the event: it departs Vicenza, travels through flat terrain and white roads near Torri di Quartesolo, utilizes the Trevisa-Ostiglia cycle path, and then ascends into the Colli Berici on roads like Strada della Tecla and Strada del Raposso. The longest route covers approximately 140 km with 1,950 meters of elevation gain, passing locations such as Lago di Fimon and San Gottardo. Off the bike, the weekend features refreshment stations, food stops, associated activities, a children’s zone, a pasta meal, parking, and a participant package. Charity has been a component of La Via dei Berici since its inception, with a portion of the registration fees benefiting Fondazione San Bortolo.
