AV Suomi Beeckestijn Cross

The AV Suomi Beeckestijn Cross is a winter cross-country race in Velsen-Zuid, held within the park forest of the 18th-century Beeckestijn country estate. Organized by AV Suomi, it is the third event in the four-race RunX Haarlem Cross Circuit. The race accommodates youth, G-athletes, juniors, seniors, and masters, with distances ranging from 1.2 km to 9.6 km. The course features forest paths, estate lanes, open areas, water features, and some unpaved sections, creating a varied, often muddy cross-country challenge rather than a predictable road race. Both recreational runners and competitive club athletes compete on the same terrain. Circuit points and category prizes are awarded to top performers. Following all four circuit races, final standings are determined, with prizes for the top three in each category.
