Cauberg Trail

The Cauberg Trail is a 44 km trail race held in Valkenburg aan de Geul, located in the hilly southern Netherlands. It is part of the UTMB Index 50K category, featuring 1,150 metres of elevation gain over a distance slightly less than an ultramarathon. The race is intimate, not crowded, with 39 finishers recorded. The pace at the front is fast for a course with significant climbing: the winner completed the race in 3:31:52, with other top finishers hailing from Germany and the Netherlands. The participants are diverse, including at least one runner in the 55-59 age group.
