Hemmeromloop is a village running event in Venhuizen, North Holland. The start is at Twijver 66, with routes passing through Hem and Venhuizen. It takes place annually on the last Sunday of August, featuring a 5 km run, a 10 km run, a KidsRun, and a toddler run. The 5 km and 10 km races include separate classifications and an official race category, accommodating participants from beginners, youth runners, and business teams to serious club runners and top athletes. Entry is limited to 750 participants, with no late registration available.
The course crosses the village centers of Hem and Venhuizen within the Drechterland municipality, marking it as a compact local race distinct from large-city road events. Stichting H.O.C. is the organizer, providing practical race-day support including first aid, an AED, massages, a guarded cloakroom, parking near Westerkerweg 60, and a shuttle service from Hoogkarspel station. Beyond the running, the day includes community activities such as a children's fair and live music at Cafe de Roode Leeuw.
