The Hollands Duin Ultra begins at Vrijstaat Nederzandt in Noordwijk, leading runners into the protected Hollands Duin nature reserve along the Dutch coast. This December trail ultra, organized by Trail Events, offers 50 km and 60 km distances. The 50 km course features approximately 650 meters of elevation gain, utilizes GPX navigation, includes three aid stations, and awards finishers 2 UTMB index points.
The course combines beach, dunes, and forest terrain. Runners will encounter sandy paths, narrow single tracks, and varied forest trails, making the event a test of endurance on soft ground and route-finding rather than flat speed. Live trail tracking is provided for the ultra distances. The race is a component of the Dutch Ultra Challenge and is designated as the fourth ultra in the Dutch Ultra Series. The broader Hollands Duin Trail event also includes shorter trail races.
