Hulst by Lightrun

At 7:30 on the third Friday evening of January, runners depart the Grote Markt in Hulst for a night race through a fortified town illuminated with lights. Hulst by Lightrun is a running and walking event in Zeeland, offering a 5.4 km route for walkers and runners and a 9.1 km option for runners. Walkers begin two minutes after the runners, with the entire event commencing from the same central square. The route crosses Hulst's streets and follows the old city walls, featuring lights and projections along the course. Organizers encourage non-participants to spectate and cheer, and the event's motto prompts participants to arrive with original lighting. It is a well-attended small-town event; its 10th edition sold out 1,500 places in a day and a half.
