Jan Louter Loop

The Janlouterloop begins at AV Fortuna on Watersportweg in Vlaardingen, leading runners into the Vlaardingse Broekpolder during autumn. Organized by AV Fortuna and affiliated with the Atletiekunie, the race offers 5, 10, or 15 kilometer distances. Starts are scheduled in late-morning waves, with entry fees varying by distance. The race commemorates Jan Louter, a former AV Fortuna trainer and dedicated runner who passed away from pancreatic cancer. He coached multiple running groups at the club, logged extensive mileage, and was known for his motivating enthusiasm. Net proceeds benefit Support Casper, a program of the Dutch Foundation Survive Pancreatic Cancer.
