Les Hivernales du RCB

Les Hivernales du RCB is a timed winter running race in Watermael-Boitsfort, located in the south-eastern part of Brussels. It features three course options of approximately 10, 20, and 39 kilometers. The start and finish points are typically situated at the International School of Brussels. The race route incorporates sections of the Soignes Forest, utilizing unpaved paths, making it a forest road-and-trail event rather than a flat city race. The shortest race is advertised as 10 km, though its actual length may be closer to 9.2 km. Race organizers note that official distances are subject to change. The initial kilometers are relatively flat before the course presents challenges: a sustained climb of about 1.2 km at a 5% gradient, followed by an 800-meter descent, additional smaller ascents, and a final 400-meter uphill stretch preceding a downhill finish. Both licensed and non-licensed participants are permitted. The event's guidelines are straightforward: adhere to course markings, show consideration for fellow runners, and confine litter to designated aid-station zones.
