OVM DEO loop

The OVM DEO Loop is a December running event held at vv DEO in Borculo, located in the Achterhoek region of the Netherlands. This is a trail and cross-country race, not a road race, offering distances from short festival runs up to 40 kilometers. The event features 9 km and 14 km running-festival distances, longer trail runs of 24 km, 32 km, and 40 km, and a 25 km canicross option for participants with dogs. The routes primarily follow unpaved paths through the wooded area between Borculo and Barchem. Runners will navigate forest trails, pass heath fields, and traverse the newer nature reserves near Dijkhoek and Stelkampsveld. The participant limit is 450, maintaining a relatively intimate field size, with men and women competing on the same day across all distances. Organized by football club vv DEO, the event has completed over forty editions, establishing it as a consistent local winter fixture.
