Poort naar het Heuvelland is a trail race held in early January in Beek, Limburg. The start is at the VV Neerbeek / AV Caesar sports canteen on Blooteweg. Participants can select a short trail of approximately 12 km with 120 meters of elevation gain or a long trail of approximately 24 km with 260 meters of elevation gain. This event is for adults only, with a limit of 500 participants. Late or on-the-day registration is not available.
The course is marked with yellow arrows featuring red AV CAESAR BEEK lettering, giving it the character of a local club event rather than a large-scale road race. The short course includes one aid station, while the long course has two. Participants are required to bring their own cup or bottle. A post-finish aid point offers Limburgse vlaai, a regional specialty, providing a local conclusion to a winter trail run in the hills surrounding Beek.
