The Reeuwijkse Plassenloop is a running event held in Reeuwijk-Brug, South Holland. The start and finish lines are located at the Reeuwijkse Houtwal within the De Reeuwijkse Hout recreation area. Participants can select from short youth races of 1000 meters and 2300 meters, alongside 5 km, 10 km, and 15 km races for older participants. The 1000 meter run is designated for children up to age 9, the 2300 meter race for those up to age 12, and the longer distances are structured by age groups starting at 13, 16, and 18. MYLAPS BibTag timing is employed, and all finishers are awarded a commemorative medal.
The course is flat and free from traffic, winding between the Reeuwijkse lakes. This makes it suitable for local runners aiming for a consistent pace and for those new to organized races. It stands as one of the Netherlands' oldest performance runs, boasting a significant history of past editions. Younger children have the option to run with a parent, and the 5 km race attracts participants from Sportclub Reeuwijk's introductory course. The event provides support to Stichting Ambulance Wens, a foundation that assists individuals with severe illnesses in fulfilling a final wish.
