Rondje Sprundel

Rondje Sprundel is a local running event in Sprundel, held annually on the last Saturday in May. The program includes youth runs of 720 and 1,440 meters, a 5 km recreational run, and a 10 km race. The field is capped at 300 participants, giving it the feel of a village race day rather than a large city event. The 10 km is also part of the Lopers Company BoZ Brabants Rondje series. The event has been part of Sprundel for over thirty years, originating as a simple way for people from the village and nearby area to be active together. Comité Rondje Sprundel organizes it, with support from local sponsors and volunteers. Children run first in the afternoon, followed by the 5 km and 10 km races starting together. A local tradition is the free running shirt for 5 km and 10 km runners; pre-registered runners receive their ordered size, while late entrants get one while supplies last.
