Snertloop TAV80 is a winter running and walking event in the village of 't Veld in Noord-Holland, offering 5 km, 10 km, and 16 km routes. The local athletics club TAV80 organizes the event, which utilizes public roads and features electronic timing via a MyLaps chip integrated into the start number. Both the start and finish are located in 't Veld, at JT Bloembollen on Koggeweg, maintaining a compact village atmosphere instead of a large-city race feel.
The event's approach is practical and local: registration is exclusively online, and start numbers can be collected at Sporthal de Kogge or just before the race. Every finisher receives a bucket of snert, the Dutch pea soup that lends the race its name. Participants walking the longest route are offered a coffee stop. Runners compete for top-three prizes by distance in men's and women's categories, with additional prizes for youth. A start-number lottery and a swift prize ceremony contribute to the small-club atmosphere post-race.
