Veluwezoom Trail Experience

The Veluwezoom Trail & Walk is a summer trail event held in the Veluwezoom, a Dutch nature reserve offering routes for runners, walkers, and children. Runners can select from 7, 15, 24, 31, or 62 kilometers, and walkers have 15, 24, and 31 kilometer choices. The children's routes cover 600 and 1200 meters, with all courses clearly marked. The ULTRA62, the longest distance, involves running the 31 kilometer course twice. The event originated as Jan Strijker's first organized ultra trail run in the Netherlands, with 81 participants on a single 53 kilometer route during its inaugural year. Cairn Adventures subsequently took over, developing it into a two-day Trailrun Festival while retaining Strijker’s founding principles. The start and finish traditionally take place at the Veluws.
