Zes uur van de Haarlemmermeer is a six-hour ultramarathon in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, held at AV Haarlemmermeer’s athletics venue on Arnolduspark. Participants run as far as possible within the six-hour time limit on a short, AU-certified loop of 1,127 meters, rather than a point-to-point course. The event takes place in late June, sanctioned by the Dutch athletics federation via AV Haarlemmermeer. This 25th edition also functions as the national championship for six-hour solo running in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The course begins on the athletics track, proceeds through Arnolduspark, passes the hockey fields, utilizes a path with a granulate and shell surface, and concludes back on the track. Each lap includes approximately 10 meters of elevation gain. The participant limit is 200, although recent six-hour races have seen considerably fewer runners, often numbering only a few dozen. Winning distances typically range from about 70 to 90 km for men and 55 to 73 km for women. The event also includes one-, two-, and three-hour races, catering to both dedicated ultrarunners and individuals exploring shorter timed race formats.
