Lunde Triathlon is a family-friendly event in Lunde, Norway, held on the last Saturday in August and organized by IL Skade. The race day is centered around Lunde slusepark and the sluseamfi, where starts, transitions, the finish line, children's race registration, and prize ceremonies are all located. The program starts with a free mini-triathlon for children under 12, followed by a youth race for ages 13-16, and concludes with the main race for juniors and adults.
The race offers short, accessible distances: Supersprint is 375 metres swimming, 10 kilometres cycling, and 2.5 kilometres running, while Sprint doubles those legs to 750 metres, 20 kilometres, and 5 kilometres. Relay teams can participate in both the youth race and the main race, allowing friends or family members who only want to do one leg to join. The children’s race has included participants as young as four, and every child receives a medal. Podium finishers, winning relay teams, and age-group winners get prizes sponsored by local businesses in Nome and Midt-Telemark.
