Stavanger Triathlon starts and finishes at Speidermarka on Kverneberg, near the paths around Stokkavatnet. This local triathlon offers a sprint distance (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) or a normal distance (1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run). You can compete individually or as a relay team.
The swim takes place in Stokkavatnet, a lake noted by organizers as clean and suitable for swimming. The bike course goes through Sunde and along Kvernevikvegen towards Randaberg on roads with minimal traffic. The run follows a gravel path alongside the lake. Spectators walking around Stokkavatnet encourage runners, and past competitors have highlighted the organization, race briefing, course marshals, and mutual support among athletes as contributing to the atmosphere.
