Offroad Valdres

Offroad Valdres begins at Gomobu Fjellstue in the Norwegian mountains, offering mountain bikers multiple options across the same rugged terrain. The Grusvegs route spans approximately 120 km on mountain farm roads, suitable for gravel, cyclocross, or mountain bikes. Heilvegs covers about 120-130 km, Halvvegs is 60-75 km, and Kortvegs is a shorter, 40 km race designed for recruitment, concluding in the mountains. Most routes other than Grusvegs utilize trails, interspersed with brief sections of farm track, gravel road, and standard road. Navigation is GPS-based, making it more than a simple fitness test on marked paths. A team competition is also featured for pairs or trios, with categories for men's, women's, and mixed teams. Following the race, participants can attend a banquet at Scandic Valdres in Fagernes, featuring a cold buffet, award ceremonies, and a gift bag containing local cheese, beverages (beer or soda for those under 18), and cured sausage.
