Sobre esta carrera
Every September, STHLM Bike starts thousands of cyclists at 7:30 AM for a 50-kilometer ride through Stockholm, which is closed to car traffic for the event. There is no timing, and riders are encouraged to set their own pace, focusing on enjoying the city from their bikes. The event welcomes participants of all ages, bike types, and backgrounds, fostering a sense of a communal morning ride rather than a race.
The route offers cyclists access to parts of Stockholm typically unavailable by bike due to traffic. This includes Sveavägen without cars and Västerbron with a view of City Hall. It also goes by Strömmen in the early fog, the castle park at Ulriksdal, Djurgården, and Fredhäll. The approach is straightforward and relaxed: ensure your tires are inflated and you have a full water bottle, and make use of the provided water stops, coffee, restrooms, and mechanical support along the course as needed.
