Campbelltown Athletics Track at the Campbelltown Sports Centre contains everything: lane lines, floodlights, aid tables, and the slow arithmetic of laps. This is the 6th running of the "Southern Sydney Track Ultra", staged on "Australia's newest all weather 400m Synthetic Track" in Leumeah. It is not a scenic point-to-point race; it is a controlled, honest track ultra where the challenge is staying patient when the scenery barely changes. The course is simple in the way hard things are simple: keep moving around the 400m synthetic surface, manage pace, feet, food, and your head. Ultra runners show up for the main long-format race, which also sits alongside the "Australian 24 Hour Track National Championship", so expect people who understand the quiet grind. With Ultra Running NSW behind it, the feel is likely more serious lane-side support than festival noise: lap after lap, every mistake and every good spell visible from the rail.
