About this race
Riverside Drive at West End is the heart of this long-running club setup, with the Brisbane River beside you and a flat, accurately measured loop underfoot. Brisbane Road Runners Club has been organizing these events since 1982, and the atmosphere is one of regular runners putting on "friendly, well-organised road running events" for other runners, not a large-scale production.
Expect a straightforward road run with marshals on course, electronic timing, and a clock at the start/finish, allowing you to track your laps and effort accurately. The participants range from club regulars chasing a personal best to visitors looking for a "supportive and consistent race experience," with the small but very runner-friendly touch of free post-race bananas available after the finish.
