About this race
Mount Beauty Secondary College oval on Pool Road hosts the Mt Beauty Running Festival. All courses depart for and return from the Upper Kiewa Valley to this central point. It offers a dedicated runner’s atmosphere while maintaining a family-friendly environment. Beginners, experienced runners, school teams, and children can participate, particularly on the flat pondage loop with Mt Bogong visible.
Underfoot conditions vary between road and trail, including river flats, valley roads, and bush tracks with river crossings. The Kiewa River run towards Pebble Beach appears to be the less demanding route, whereas the trail course provides immersion in native forest and tougher ground. Expect alpine scenery and the valley’s autumn colours. Bring your own water bottle, as this event does not use plastic cups.
