Ultra-Trail Australia: UTA50 & UTA100

Start location
Scenic World
Katoomba, NSW
About this race
Scenic World places you directly within the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, where Ultra-Trail Australia: UTA50 & UTA100 has developed over 18 years into Australia's premier trail-running festival. This is big-country trail running, direct and exposed: vast cliff tops, bare rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and native bush loud enough to remind you you are only passing through.
The course features stairs and climbs that "take your breath away" in both senses, with runners moving between hard rock, bush tracks, ridgelines, and the pull of the finish line. Spectators and support crew are part of the rhythm, but the race also asks you to pay tribute to the traditional custodians of country and follow in the footsteps of Gundungurra ancestors, from the Welcome to Country at the start line to the yidaki out on Ironpot ridge.
