About this race
Tullamarine Tennis Club hosts a Junior Community Series day, offering a proper match-play hit-out rather than a large event. Young players from 10&U to 16&U compete on the courts, with a format designed for easy family viewing between matches.
The structure is simple: sign in at the tournament desk before your first match, play through your pool, and aim for the spot where the “First placed player from each pool progresses to the GF.” Each match is set as “1 set, first to 6,” with a tie-break at 5-5 and standard deuce scoring. This provides pressure points for the children without extending the day. In single-pool draws, the outcome is direct: “Whoever finishes first is the winner, second is runner up.”
