About this race
The Cottbuser Triathlon is a compact swim-bike-run event held at Lagune Cottbus in Brandenburg, Germany. The finish area is located by Sielower Landstrasse 19. TSV Cottbus, via its triathlon department, organizes the day for children, juniors, adults, individual starters, and relay teams. The adult program features sprint-distance racing (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run) and an Olympic-distance option. The atmosphere is more like a club day than a large city race, making it suitable for families and local groups.
The children’s races are integral to the event. The youngest participants, Schüler D (ages 6-7), compete in a 50 m swim, 1 km bike, and 200 m run. Distances increase for Schüler C, B, and A categories, with ages 12-13 completing a 400 m swim, 10.2 km bike, and 2.5 km run. Jugend B racers (ages 14-15) have their own category. The compact nature allows parents to support their children and participate themselves, while relay entries enable friends or clubmates to share the three disciplines.
